Out of all of the Jeep vehicles, the Jeep Grand Wagoneer had the longest production run ever. Because of the powerful V8 engine and the ability to tow just about anything made the Wagoneer as popular as it was and kept enthusiasts buying them over and over. In 1991 the Wagoneer was replaced but was credited as the longest domestically produced vehicle on the same platform for 29 years. The 1987 through 1991 model is considered the best of them all and still has many loyal followers. Only 1,560 of the SJ Grand Wagoneers were produced in 1991 and the owners were given the option of having a badge on the dashboard saying “Final Edition Jeep Grand Wagoneer.”
